Kanz al-Iman is Urdu translation of the Quran rendered by Ahmad Raza in 1912. This article compares his translations of various lines with English translations of other scholars. The author highlights careful selection of words, respect and reverence to Allah and His Prophets, and fluency of the translation besides other features. The striking feature of the Kanz al-Iman is that the translator has remained steadfast in his firm belief in Tawheed and in his unflinching respect for the Holy Prophet.
